Log in - more important than anything

by Giles Turnbull -- 2000/05/02

Whatever you're publishing on the web, your site name is the most valuable asset you have, according to Carl Steadman.

A lame-name site, or (heaven forbid) one with a or URL is not going to build an audience because its owners clearly aren't "thinking big enough", he says.

The name should be no harder to type than "free sex." It shouldn't turn conversations into spelling bees was that "one2know," "12no," or "onetoknow?" And ideally it should fit on a baseball cap
